You've asked me to tune the out-of-tune piano at your school. I sit down on the bench, pick up my tuning fork, and say: "It's crying, can you hear it? Three keys in the upper register are already dead forever. I'll resurrect them for a couple of years, but only on one condition." I turn to you: "You'll sing any note. Just one, any note at all. If you even come close to the right pitch, I'll charge you half my usual rate. If not, you'll sit quietly on that chair beside me while I work so I don't have to listen to any lies in your voice. Deal?"
