Good sessions are rarely lucky accidents. They start with a minute of preparation that most people skip. Use this checklist before you open the chat, tick items quickly and you will notice fewer dead ends and fewer wasted messages.
Part 1. The story
- **Setting chosen.** A specific place with one sensory detail. Not "a room", but "a ferry deck at night, engine hum".
- **Time pressure set.** A sunrise, a last train, a shift end. Without a clock, scenes drift.
- **Your role written.** One sentence: job, mood, reason to be here.
- **Her role written.** One sentence and one want that is not sex: a favour, a ticket, a quiet night.
- **Genre named.** Realistic, fantasy, sci-fi or hybrid. If you are unsure, read fantasy or realistic roleplay and choose.
Part 2. The style
- **Pace stated.** Slow burn or fast start, in one phrase.
- **Person and tense.** Decide whether you write in first or second person and in present tense, then keep it. The AI mirrors you.
- **Tone defined.** Playful, tender, dark but consensual, teasing. A single adjective is enough.
- **Opening line is an action.** Start inside the scene, not with a description of the plan.
Part 3. Safety and comfort
- **Limits stated.** What you do not want, in one brief line at the start. Everything remains adult and consensual; you can change direction at any moment.
- **Exit phrase ready.** Decide how you will pause the scene: "(pause the story)" or "(out of character)". It takes two seconds and saves frustration.
- **Privacy checked.** Use the service on a device you trust. Keep addresses, workplace and real names out of the story. Remember it is a neural network and the service is for readers over 18.
Part 4. Budget
- **Session budget set.** Messages are paid with GEM. The first visit and the daily bonus are free; beyond that, see the pricing page for current packs and decide a number before you begin.
- **Stop point chosen.** For example, "I will stop after thirty messages or when the scene ends". It stops open ended scrolling.
The page above shows what each action costs now.
The cheat sheet
Copy this into a note and fill it in:
- Place:
- Time pressure:
- Me:
- Her (and what she wants):
- Genre and tone:
- Pace:
- Limits:
- Exit phrase:
- Budget and stop point:
- Opening line:
Ten lines, about two minutes. Anyone who has done it will tell you the difference between a muddy session and a clear one is exactly these ten lines.
What to check during the session
- Is the scene still moving? If not, add an event.
- Is the tone drifting? Steer in brackets.
- Am I enjoying it? If the answer is a flat "meh", change the room, the pace or the character rather than pushing through.
- Is the budget fine? A glance at your GEM every ten messages keeps it predictable.
What to check afterwards
Note which element worked best: the place, the line, the pace or the character. Next time, keep that part and change another. Over a few sessions you build a personal library of favourites. For fresh seeds, look at ten roleplay plots.
A short example of the checklist in use
Place: a library after closing, rain outside. Time pressure: the night guard returns at midnight. Me: a researcher who stayed late. Her: the archivist who wants the manuscript finished before morning. Genre: realistic with a hint of mystery. Pace: slow. Limits: no jokes that break the mood. Exit phrase: "(pause the story)". Budget: thirty messages. Opening: "I close the last box and notice the lamp at your desk is still on."
Reading it takes ten seconds, yet the AI now has everything it needs to deliver a scene that has atmosphere, tension and direction. If you copy only one habit from this article, copy that: fill the cheat sheet in your own words and paste the opening. Everything else follows from those lines.
A final tip is to keep your filled sheets. When a session was good, the sheet is a recipe, and you can swap one ingredient the next time to see how the result changes.

Preparation sounds dull next to the roleplay itself, yet two minutes of it is the most reliable way to enjoy the rest.
