How much does a video with your face cost and can you avoid overpaying? Let us look at it honestly: prices, refunds and ways to get GEM for free. All numbers refer to Upload your photo.
Clip prices
- "Gentle" 50 GEM: a soft clip, ready in about a minute;
- "Hot" 100 GEM: an explicit clip, made in a few minutes.
A clip lasts about six seconds. The price is fixed: no hidden fees, no subscription for the section and no extra charge for downloading.
When GEM are returned
The charge happens when you send, but the refund is automatic if:
- the face check is not passed: no face on the photo, several people, the face is too small or does not match the selfie;
- the video service did not accept the frame or a technical failure happened;
- the clip did not finish in time.
So you pay for a result: if there is no clip, GEM return to your balance and the card explains what happened.
What counts as a result
If the clip is made but you do not like it (for example the face is too different or the scene is off), there is no refund: the service did its work. So check the photo and description before sending. Photo tips: which photo to choose.
How to save
- Start with "Gentle": see how the network reads your face before paying 100 GEM.
- Write one action: fewer failed attempts.
- Use a good photo: light and a sharp face raise your chance on the first try.
- Do not send several identical clips in a row, change the description.
- Download the clip at once: recreating it costs GEM again.
Where to get GEM
The most economical way is the pricing page: packs and subscriptions give GEM at a lower price and a subscription adds bonuses. Free ways:
- a daily spin of the wheel of fortune;
- daily login and tasks;
- inviting friends;
- promo codes and promotions on the site.
Free GEM add up to a nice amount, especially if you visit every day.
Budget examples
- A trial evening: two Gentle clips and one Hot cost 200 GEM.
- A mini series: three Gentle and two Hot cost 350 GEM.
- A big series: five Gentle and three Hot cost 550 GEM.
- An experiment: one Gentle clip to test a photo costs 50 GEM.
For example 300 GEM is 6 Gentle clips or 3 Hot ones. A small reserve lets you make two or three attempts per scene without stress.
Subscription or packs
The pricing page has both subscriptions and GEM packs. A subscription pays off if you use the site regularly: read stories, chat and make clips from time to time. A pack suits one top-up with no time limit. Choose by how much and how often you use the feature.
Why people overspend
Long descriptions
The more complex the scene, the higher the risk the result differs from what you imagined.
A weak photo
A dark small picture gives a poor likeness and you redo the clip.
Hurry
A description written on the run often leads to a failed attempt. Two minutes of preparation save dozens of GEM.
Forgotten clips
A clip you do not download disappears: Gentle after a day, Hot after up to three days.
Comparison with ordinary services
Many services charge a subscription whatever the result and you still pay for failed attempts. Here payment is tied to the result: on a failure or a failed face check GEM come back automatically. The price also includes the face check and safe storage.
Payment questions
Can I get GEM back for a finished clip I did not like?
No, the service did the work. So prepare photo and description in advance.
Will GEM be charged twice if I double-tap?
No. A repeat tap does not create a second clip: the system is protected from duplicates.
What if I do not have enough GEM?
The button will suggest topping up. No clip is made and no GEM are charged.
Is there a discount for a series?
No discounts on single clips, but packs and subscriptions lower the cost of GEM.
