The elevator corridor was empty. The mirrored walls bounced back their faces, flushed with anticipation. Kat and Alex held each other's hands, fingers locked tight with nervous excitement.

"You sure this is a good idea?" Alex whispered, his voice cracking with a mix of fear and raw thrill.

"We already talked about this," Kat replied, loosening her grip to drag a palm across his shirt. "This is our shot." They both knew the old elevator in this building was a ticking time bomb—it had a reputation for stalling between floors. That was the whole point.

They stopped in front of the doors. Kat jabbed the call button, and the panels slid apart with a soft hiss.

"After you," she said with a sly smile.

Alex stepped in, and Kat followed. The doors closed, and the car lurched upward.

"How much time do you think we've got?" Kat asked, locking eyes with him.

"Enough to make it unforgettable," he said, his hand already grazing the hem of her short dress.

The elevator shuddered violently and ground to a halt between floors. They froze, hearts hammering, then laughter burst through the tension.

"Well, looks like we're stuck," Kat said, slowly backing him against the mirrored wall.

"Yeah," Alex agreed, his voice dropping low and rough. "And this is already better than I hoped."

They undressed each other slowly, like a dance—each button on his shirt, each tug of her zipper the only sounds slicing through the silence.

"You're so fucking beautiful," Alex breathed, his fingers tracing her bare shoulders.

"So are you," Kat shot back, her hands sliding under his shirt, nails raking his skin.

Their bodies collided, mouths crashing together, and when they finally hit that peak—bodies slick, breath ragged—the elevator rattled again. They froze, eyes wide, a silent warning passing between them. Then they grinned and went at it harder, the danger only fueling the fire.

"Holy shit… that was incredible," Kat gasped, pulling back, her skin glistening with sweat.

"Yeah," Alex agreed, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "And I really hope we remembered to hit record."

They both burst out laughing, the absurdity of their little gamble hitting home.

"Now we've got something to remember," Kat whispered, tugging her dress back over her hips.

They dressed in a lazy, post-orgasm haze, bodies still trembling.

"Hope you folks aren't in a hurry," a tinny voice crackled through the intercom.

"We're good," Alex called back, glancing at Kat, whose eyes were still bright with satisfaction.

The doors creaked open, and they stepped out hand in hand, faces glowing like they'd just gotten away with something—because they had.
